Cheesesteak Eggrolls
Makes 6 eggrolls
Takes about 1 hour
-what you need-
Cheesesteak
- 2 Tbs Olive Oil
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 pound shaved Ribeye Steak
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp fresh black pepper
- Your favorite cheese, I chose Cooper Sharp (7 slices)
- 1/4 cup water or light beer
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or your favorite stretchy cheese for the eggrolls
- 6 eggrolls wrappers
- Oil for frying
Garlic Butter
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 6 Tbs salted butter
- 1 Tbs fresh chopped parsley
-what to do-
- In a pan over medium heat, add in your olive oil and onions and cook until lightly caramelized.
- Once onions are done, push them to the side of the pan to make room for the steak and turn heat to medium high.
- Add in your steak and spread out into an even layer and let it be, don’t stir, so it creates a nice crust on one side.
- Using a spatula flip the beef over, then break apart, mixing your onions back in.
- Next add in your onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix well.
- At this point I added a splash of beer and scraped up all the bits stuck to the pan.
- Next, turn heat down to low, layer on 7 slices of your cheese, add a splash more beer and cover with lid until cheese gets melted.
- When cheese is melted mix until well combined and set aside.
- Next up is the garlic butter coating. In a small pan over low heat, add your butter and chopped garlic and cook for 5 minutes. Add in your parsley mix and set aside.
- In a large pot over medium high heat, fill with about 5-6 inches of frying oil, any kind here will work, and bring to 370 degrees.
- As the oil heats up make your eggrolls. You only need 6 wrappers here so grab six and place them under a damn paper towel so they don’t dry out.
- Take one wrapper, place on some shredded mozzarella cheese, a big scoop of your cheesesteak mixture, wet the tip with water and tuck and roll into a log. Repeat until all are done.
- When oils hot add all your eggrolls in, one at a time, and gently and fry for 5-8 minutes until golden brown.
- Pull out your eggrolls, place on your serving dish and then immediately coat them in your garlic butter.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!!!

Why did the steak go to therapy?
He had too many beefs.
